The following tables illustrates the usage of web authoring tools on the web. The tool is determined by examining the web page meta tag 'generator'. Readers are cautioned that not all authoring packages insert their name in this meta tag, and as such may not be picked up in this survey.
The June survey is based on a sample size of 13,400,162 pages downloaded from 1,318,624 sites. We detected authoring tool usage on 240,845 sites (18.26% of all sites visited).
