Title: | Mozilla Firefox Security Advisory (MFSA2012-05) - Linux |
Summary: | This host is missing a security update for Mozilla Firefox. |
Description: | Summary: This host is missing a security update for Mozilla Firefox. Vulnerability Insight: Frame scripts calling into untrusted objects bypass security checks Mozilla security researcher moz_bug_r_a4 reported that frame scripts bypass XPConnect security checks when calling untrusted objects. This allows for cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks through web pages and Firefox extensions. The fix enables the Script Security Manager (SSM) to force security checks on all frame scripts. Affected Software/OS: Firefox version(s) below 10. Solution: The vendor has released an update. Please see the reference(s) for more information. CVSS Score: 4.3 CVSS Vector: AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
