Title: | Mageia: Security Advisory (MGASA-2023-0003) |
Summary: | The remote host is missing an update for the 'ctags' package(s) announced via the MGASA-2023-0003 advisory. |
Description: | Summary: The remote host is missing an update for the 'ctags' package(s) announced via the MGASA-2023-0003 advisory. Vulnerability Insight: A flaw was found in Exuberant Ctags in the way it handles the '-o' option. This option specifies the tag filename. A crafted tag filename specified in the command line or in the configuration file results in arbitrary command execution because the externalSortTags() in sort.c calls the system(3) function in an unsafe way. (CVE-2022-4515) Affected Software/OS: 'ctags' package(s) on Mageia 8. Solution: Please install the updated package(s). CVSS Score: 7.2 CVSS Vector: AV:L/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
