Description: | Summary: This host is missing a critical security update according to Microsoft Bulletin MS10-061. Vulnerability Insight: The flaw is due to the Windows Print Spooler insufficiently restricting user permissions to access print spoolers, which could allow remote unauthenticated attackers to create a malicious file in a Windows system directory by sending a specially crafted print request to a shared printer. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation could allow remote attackers to take complete control of an affected system. Affected Software/OS: - Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3 and prior - Microsoft Windows 2K3 Service Pack 2 and prior - Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 2 and prior - Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 and prior - Microsoft Windows 7 Solution: The vendor has released updates.
