Title: | Ubuntu: Security Advisory (USN-425-1) |
Summary: | The remote host is missing an update for the 'slocate' package(s) announced via the USN-425-1 advisory. |
Description: | Summary: The remote host is missing an update for the 'slocate' package(s) announced via the USN-425-1 advisory. Vulnerability Insight: A flaw was discovered in the permission checking code of slocate. When reporting matching files, locate would not correctly respect the parent directory's 'read' bits. This could result in filenames being displayed when the file owner had expected them to remain hidden from other system users. Affected Software/OS: 'slocate' package(s) on Ubuntu 6.06, Ubuntu 6.10. Solution: Please install the updated package(s). CVSS Score: 5.0 CVSS Vector: AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N |
