Description: | Summary: PHP is prone to a denial of service (DoS) vulnerability. Vulnerability Insight: The flaw exists due to how mysqli_real_escape_string function in mysqli/mysqli_api.c improperly handles long strings. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation will allow attackers to cause a denial of service by performing an integer overflow and therefore crashing the application. Affected Software/OS: PHP versions 7.0.x through 7.1.15. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
