Vulnerability Insight: Multiple flaws exist due to: - An insufficient validation of user supplied input by some backend components. - An improper unserialization of data by Import/Export component. - The TYPO3 backend module stores the username of an authenticated backend user in its cache files. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation will allow remote attackers to conduct XSS attacks and to get sensitive information like valid backend usernames. Affected Software/OS: TYPO3 versions 6.2.0 to 6.2.25, 7.6.0 to 7.6.9 and 8.0.0 to 8.2.0 Solution: Upgrade to TYPO3 version 6.2.26 or 7.6.10 or 8.2.1 or later.
