Vulnerability Insight: Multiple flaws are due to: - An insufficient validation of user supplied input via 'client_action' parameter in a revslider_ajax_action action to 'wp-admin/admin-ajax.php' script. - Insecure direct request to 'revslider_admin.php' script. - An insufficient validation of user supplied input via 'img' parameter to 'wp-admin/admin-ajax.php' script Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation will allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary script code in a user's browser session within the trust relationship between their browser and the server and to obtain sensitive information. Affected Software/OS: WordPress Revslider version 4.2.2 Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
