The flaw exists due to use of improper --ssl
option when establishing a secure connection.

Vulnerability Impact:
Successful exploitation will allow
man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof servers via a cleartext-downgrade
attack.

Affected Software/OS:
MariaDB version 5.5.43 and earlier
on Windows.

Solution:
Upgrade to version MariaDB 5.5.44 or
later.
