Vulnerability Insight: The following flaws exist: - A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability - A HTTP response splitting vulnerability - A cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability - Unprotected files / files without authorisation Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation will allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary script code in a user's browser, bypass authentication and read arbitrary files to obtain detail information about products. Affected Software/OS: Edimax BR6228nS/BR6228nC devices with firmware version 1.22 are known to be affected. Other versions, models or vendors might be affected as well. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
