Vulnerability Insight: The flaw exists due to Buffer overflow in the XnsSdkDeviceIpInstaller.ocx ActiveX control in Samsung iPOLiS Device Manager. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation will allow a context-dependent attacker to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service. Affected Software/OS: Samsung iPOLiS Device Manager version 1.12.2 Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
