Description: | Summary: Wing FTP Server is prone to an authenticated command execution vulnerability. Vulnerability Insight: Flaw is due to the os.execute() function in the embedded LUA interpreter in the admin web interface is not properly handling specially crafted HTTP POST requests. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation will allow an authenticated remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands. Affected Software/OS: Wing FTP Server version 4.3.8 is known to be affected. Other versions may also be affected. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
