Description: | Summary: Joomla! friechat component is prone to multiple cross site scripting vulnerabilities. Vulnerability Insight: Multiple flaws are due to insufficient validation of 'id' and 'xhash' HTTP GET parameters passed to '/client/chat.php' script and 'toname' POST parameter passed to '/client/plugins/upload/upload.php' script. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation will allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a users browser session in the context of an affected site and launch other attacks. Affected Software/OS: Joomla Component FreiChat version 9.6 and prior. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
