PHP is prone to a security bypass vulnerability.

Vulnerability Insight:
The flaw is in libxml RSHUTDOWN function which allows to bypass open_basedir
protection mechanism through stream_close method call.

Vulnerability Impact:
Successful exploitation will allow remote attackers to read arbitrary files.

Affected Software/OS:
PHP versions 5.x.0 to 5.0.5, 5.1.0 to 5.1.6, 5.2.0 to 5.2.17, 5.3.0 to
5.3.27, 5.4.0 to 5.4.23 and 5.5.0 to 5.5.6.

Solution:
No known solution was made available for at least one year
since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore.
General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective
features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
