Description: | Summary: Hero Framework is prone to multiple cross site scripting and CSRF vulnerabilities. Vulnerability Insight: - Input passed to the 'q' parameter in search and 'username' parameter in users/login (when 'errors' is set to 'true') is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. - The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP requests without performing any validity checks to verify the requests. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation will allow attacker to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site. Affected Software/OS: Hero Framework version 3.76 Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
