Vulnerability Insight: - Input passed via the 'Type' parameter to 'browser.html' is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. - Input passed via the 'id' parameter to 'admin/index.php' is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. - Input passed via the 'sid' parameter to 'index.php' is not properly sanitised before being used. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation will allow remote attackers to steal cookie based authentication credentials, compromise the application, access or modify data or exploit latent vulnerabilities in the underlying database. Affected Software/OS: KBPublisher version 4.0 Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
