Vulnerability Insight: The flaw is due to improper handling of 'JavaScript' code which contains an infinite loop, that creates IFRAME elements for invalid nntp:// URIs. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation will allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service. Affected Software/OS: Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0.2900.2180 and prior. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
