Description: | Summary: QuikSoft EasyMail Objects ActiveX Control is prone to a buffer overflow vulnerability. Vulnerability Insight: The flaw exists in AddAttachments() method, which fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied data. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation will allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application with elevated privileges or cause the browser to crash. Affected Software/OS: Quiksoft EasyMail Objects 6.0 on Windows Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
