Vulnerability Insight: The flaw is due to error in mshtml.dll file and it can causes while calling the JavaScript findText method with a crafted Unicode string in the first argument, and only one additional argument, as demonstrated by a second argument of -1. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation could allow remote attackers to cause the application to crash. Affected Software/OS: Microsoft, Internet Explorer version 7.x/8.x. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
