Vulnerability Insight: This flaw is due to a boundary checking error while opening a specially-crafted '.mpg' audio files. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation will lets attacker execute arbitrary codes in the context of the affected player. Affected Software/OS: Microsoft Windows Media Player version 9.x and 11 to 11.0.5721.5145. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
