Category: | Red Hat Local Security Checks |
Title: | RedHat Security Advisory RHSA-2011:1440 |
Summary: | NOSUMMARY |
Description: | Description: The remote host is missing updates announced in advisory RHSA-2011:1440. SeaMonkey is an open source web browser, email and newsgroup client, IRC chat client, and HTML editor. A cross-site scripting (XSS) flaw was found in the way SeaMonkey handled certain multibyte character sets. A web page containing malicious content could cause SeaMonkey to run JavaScript code with the permissions of a different website. (CVE-2011-3648) All SeaMonkey users should upgrade to these updated packages, which correct this issue. After installing the update, SeaMonkey must be restarted for the changes to take effect. Solution: Please note that this update is available via Red Hat Network. To use Red Hat Network, launch the Red Hat Update Agent with the following command: up2date http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2011-1440.html Risk factor : Medium |
