Vulnerability Insight: New Thunderbird packages are available for Slackware 11.0 and 12.0 to fix two possible security issues. This package may also be used on many older versions of Slackware (though we're not certain how far back...) More details about the issues may be found here: [link moved to references] Here are the details from the Slackware 12.0 ChangeLog: +--------------------------+ patches/packages/mozilla-thunderbird-2.0.0.5-i686-1.tgz: Upgraded to thunderbird-2.0.0.5. Since Thunderbird shares the browser engine with Firefox it is susceptible to similar vulnerabilities. This update fixes the same issues fixed in the recent Firefox patch.
