Description:	Description: The remote host is missing updates announced in advisory CLA-2003:569. KDE[3] is a very popular graphical desktop environment available for GNU/Linux and other operating systems. This is a full update of the KDE desktop to the 3.0.5a version, the latest 3.0.x release from the KDE project[1]. Besides containing several bugfixes and enhancements, this update also fixes several security vulnerabilities[2] found during an internal code audit organized by the KDE team. The vulnerabilities consist basically in improper quoting of instruction parameters passed to a command shell for execution. Since some of these instructions can come from remote or untrusted sources (mail, web sites and network connections), a remote attacker can exploit it to execute arbitrary commands in the user's context. Details of all fixes and enhancements made to this new KDE version can be obtained in the project changelog[4,5]. Conectiva Linux 7.0 users are also vulnerable (KDE 2.X). Updated packages will be provided soon.
