Title: | Python SSRF Vulnerability (Nov 2024) - Windows |
Summary: | Python is prone to a server-side request forgery (SSRF); vulnerability. |
Description: | Summary: Python is prone to a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability. Vulnerability Insight: The urllib.parse.urlsplit() and urlparse() functions improperly validated bracketed hosts ([]), allowing hosts that weren't IPv6 or IPvFuture. This behavior was not conformant to RFC 3986 and potentially enabled SSRF if a URL is processed by more than one URL parser. Affected Software/OS: Python versions prior to 3.9.21, 3.10.x prior to 3.10.16 and 3.11.x prior to 3.11.4. Solution: Update to version 3.9.21, 3.10.16, 3.11.4 or later. CVSS Score: 2.6 CVSS Vector: AV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
