Constant-time-defeating optimisations were possible in the accumulator variable in hmac.compare_digest. Affected Software/OS: Python prior to version 3.6.13, versions 3.7.x prior to 3.7.10, 3.8.x prior to 3.8.7 and 3.9.x prior to 3.9.1. Solution: Update to version 3.6.13, 3.7.10, 3.8.7, 3.9.1 or later.
