Vulnerability Insight: A buffer over-read in PostgreSQL GB18030 encoding validation allows a database input provider to achieve temporary denial of service on platforms where a 1-byte over-read can elicit process termination. Affected Software/OS: PostgreSQL prior to version 13.21, 14.x prior to 14.18, 15.x prior to 15.13, 16.x prior to 16.9 and 17.x prior to 17.5.
