QEMU is prone to a denial of service (DoS) vulnerability.

Vulnerability Insight:
The vulnerability exists due to an assertion failure in
the Network Block Device(NBD) Server. This flaw occurs when an nbd-client
sends a spec-compliant request that is near the boundary of maximum permitted request length.

Vulnerability Impact:
Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to crash the application.

Affected Software/OS:
QEMU versions 4.2 through 5.0.0.

Solution:
Update to version 5.0.1 or later.
