Description:	Summary: Python's SSL module fails to handle NULL bytes inside subjectAltNames general names. Vulnerability Insight: The ssl.match_hostname function in the SSL module in Python does not properly handle a '0' character in a domain name in the Subject Alternative Name field of an X.509 certificate, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof arbitrary SSL servers via a crafted certificate issued by a legitimate Certification Authority. Affected Software/OS: Python 2.6 before 2.6.9, 2.7 before 2.7.6, 3.2 before 3.2.6 and 3.3 before 3.3.3. Solution: The vendor has released updates. Please see the references for more information.
