Title:OpenSSL: Insecure Temporary File Creation (CVE-2004-0975) - Linux
Summary:OpenSSL is prone to an insecure temporary file creation vulnerability.
Description:Summary:
OpenSSL is prone to an insecure temporary file creation vulnerability.

Vulnerability Insight:
The der_chop script created temporary files insecurely which
could allow local users to overwrite files via a symlink attack on temporary files. Note that it

removed from the OpenSSL distribution.

Affected Software/OS:
OpenSSL 0.9.6 through 0.9.6m and 0.9.7 through 0.9.7e.

Solution:
Update to version 0.9.7f or later.
