Description: | Summary: Vacron NVR is prone to a remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability. This vulnerability was known to be exploited by the IoT Botnet 'Reaper' in 2017. Vulnerability Insight: The vulnerability is located in the board.cgi due to non sufficient sanitization of the input passed through the Get request. Vulnerability Impact: Remote attackers are able to execute remote command and view sensitive information such as /etc/passwd. Affected Software/OS: All versions of Vacron NVR. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
