Description: | Summary: Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) server is prone to a denial of service (DoS) vulnerability. Vulnerability Insight: It was possible to disable the remote IIS server by making a variation of a specially formed PROPFIND request. Vulnerability Impact: An attacker, exploiting this vulnerability, would be able to render the web service useless. If the server is 'business critical', the impact could be high. Affected Software/OS: Microsoft IIS 5.0 is known to be affected. Solution: Disable the WebDAV extensions, as well as the PROPFIND command. Please see the references for more information.
