Title: | Collabtive Cross Site Scripting and HTML Injection Vulnerabilities |
Summary: | Collabtive is prone to multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities; and an HTML-injection vulnerability because it fails to properly; sanitize user-supplied input before using it in dynamically generated content. |
Description: | Summary: Collabtive is prone to multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities and an HTML-injection vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input before using it in dynamically generated content. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploits will allow attacker-supplied HTML and script code to run in the context of the affected browser, potentially allowing the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials or to control how the site is rendered to the user. Other attacks are also possible. Affected Software/OS: Collabtive 0.65 is vulnerable, prior versions may also be affected. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
