Description: | Summary: XOOPS is prone to an HTTP-header-injection vulnerability and an arbitrary-file- deletion vulnerability. Vulnerability Insight: By inserting arbitrary headers into an HTTP response, attackers may be able to launch various attacks, including cross-site request forgery, cross-site scripting, and HTTP-request smuggling. Vulnerability Impact: Successful file-deletion exploits may corrupt data and cause denial-of- service conditions. Affected Software/OS: XOOPS 2.4.3 is vulnerable. Other versions may also be affected. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
