According to its version number, the remote version of Zervit
HTTP server is prone to a remote buffer overflow vulnerability and to a directory traversal
vulnerability.

Vulnerability Impact:
An attacker can exploit the remote buffer-overflow issue to
execute arbitrary code within the context of the affected application. Failed exploit attempts
will result in a denial-of-service condition.

Exploiting the directory-traversal issue will allow an attacker to view arbitrary local files
within the context of the webserver. Information harvested may aid in launching further
attacks.

Affected Software/OS:
Zervit 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 are known to be vulnerable. Other
versions may also be affected.

Solution:
No known solution was made available for at least one year
since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution
options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or
replace the product by another one.
