Title: | Horde Multiple Vulnerabilities (Apr 2009) |
Summary: | Horde is prone to a local file include (LFI) vulnerability and; a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability because they fail to properly sanitize user-supplied; input. |
Description: | Summary: Horde is prone to a local file include (LFI) vulnerability and a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability because they fail to properly sanitize user-supplied input. Vulnerability Impact: An attacker can exploit the local file include vulnerability using directory traversal strings to view and execute local files within the context of the webserver process. Information harvested may aid in further attacks. The attacker may leverage the cross-site scripting issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may let the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks. Affected Software/OS: Horde version 3.2.x and 3.3.x. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one. CVSS Score: 6.4 CVSS Vector: AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N |
