Description:Summary:
RitsBlog is prone to multiple HTML injection vulnerabilities
and an SQL injection (SQLi) vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied
input.

Vulnerability Impact:
An attacker may leverage the HTML injection issues to execute
arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site.
This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials, control how the
site is viewed, and launch other attacks.

The attacker may exploit the SQL injection issue to compromise the application, access or modify
data, or exploit latent vulnerabilities in the underlying database.

Affected Software/OS:
RitsBlog version 0.4.2 and probably prior.

Solution:
No known solution was made available for at least one year
since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore.
General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features,
remove the product or replace the product by another one.
