Title: | Mageia: Security Advisory (MGASA-2017-0440) |
Summary: | The remote host is missing an update for the 'git' package(s) announced via the MGASA-2017-0440 advisory. |
Description: | Summary: The remote host is missing an update for the 'git' package(s) announced via the MGASA-2017-0440 advisory. Vulnerability Insight: Git through 2.14.2 mishandles layers of tree objects, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a crafted repository, aka a Git bomb. This can also have an impact of disk consumption, however, an affected process typically would not survive its attempt to build the data structure in memory before writing to disk (CVE-2017-15298). Affected Software/OS: 'git' package(s) on Mageia 5, Mageia 6. Solution: Please install the updated package(s). CVSS Score: 4.3 CVSS Vector: AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P |
