Category: | Mageia Linux Local Security Checks |
Title: | Mageia: Security Advisory (MGASA-2016-0234) |
Summary: | The remote host is missing an update for the 'libtorrent-rasterbar' package(s) announced via the MGASA-2016-0234 advisory. |
Description: | Summary: The remote host is missing an update for the 'libtorrent-rasterbar' package(s) announced via the MGASA-2016-0234 advisory. Vulnerability Insight: A specially crafted HTTP response from a tracker (or potentially a UPnP broadcast) can crash libtorrent-rasterbar in the parse_chunk_header() function. Although this function is not present in this version, upstream's additional sanity checks were added to abort the program if necessary instead of crashing it (CVE-2016-5301). Affected Software/OS: 'libtorrent-rasterbar' package(s) on Mageia 5. Solution: Please install the updated package(s). CVSS Score: 5.0 CVSS Vector: AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P |
