Test ID: | 1.3.6.1.4.1.25623.1.1.10.2015.0460 |
Category: | Mageia Linux Local Security Checks |
Title: | Mageia: Security Advisory (MGASA-2015-0460) |
Summary: | The remote host is missing an update for the 'python-cffi, python-cryptography, python-cryptography-vectors, python-idna, python-ipaddress, python-pyasn1' package(s) announced via the MGASA-2015-0460 advisory. |
Description: | Summary: The remote host is missing an update for the 'python-cffi, python-cryptography, python-cryptography-vectors, python-idna, python-ipaddress, python-pyasn1' package(s) announced via the MGASA-2015-0460 advisory. Vulnerability Insight: The OpenSSL backend prior to 1.0.2 made extensive use of assertions to check response codes where our tests could not trigger a failure. However, when Python is run with -O these asserts are optimized away. If a user ran Python with this flag and got an invalid response code this could result in undefined behavior or worse (rhbz#1267548). The python-cryptography and python-cryptography-vectors packages have been updated to version 1.0.2 and python-pyasn1 has been updated to version 0.1.8, fixing this issue. Affected Software/OS: 'python-cffi, python-cryptography, python-cryptography-vectors, python-idna, python-ipaddress, python-pyasn1' package(s) on Mageia 5. Solution: Please install the updated package(s). CVSS Score: 5.0 CVSS Vector: AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N |
