Description: | Summary: AnyDesk Desktop is prone to a privilege escalation vulnerability. Vulnerability Insight: AnyDesk Desktop on Windows allows a local user to gain SYSTEM privileges via a symbolic link because the user can write to their own %APPDATA% folder (used for ad.trace and chat) but the product runs as SYSTEM when writing chat-room data there. Affected Software/OS: AnyDesk Desktop version 7.0.13 and prior. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
