Vulnerability Insight: The mime_hdr_cmp function in crypto/asn1/asn_mime.c allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and application crash) via a crafted S/MIME message. Affected Software/OS: OpenSSL 0.9.8t and earlier. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
