Description: | Summary: QEMU is prone to a denial of service (DoS) vulnerability. Vulnerability Insight: The vulnerability exists in the ati_2d_blt() routine in hw/display/ati_2d.c while handling MMIO write operations through the ati_mm_write() callback. Vulnerability Impact: A malicious guest could use this flaw to crash the QEMU process on the host, resulting in a denial of service. Affected Software/OS: QEMU version 4.0.0 through 5.1.0. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
