Description: | Summary: Wanscam HW0021 devices are prone to a partial denial of service (DoS) vulnerability. CAUTION: If the device is vulnerable, the ONVIF service will crash during the test. A manual restart of the service or the device will be necessary. Vulnerability Insight: An invalid SOAP-request to the ONVIF-SOAP interface will cause the ONVIF service to crash. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to deny users access to the ONVIF interface, until the service is manually restarted. Affected Software/OS: Wanscam HW0021. Other devices using ONVIF may be affected, too. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
