Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation could allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service via vectors involving self-referential ASN.1 CHOICE values. Affected Software/OS: Wireshark version 1.2.0 through 1.2.15 Wireshark version 1.4.0 through 1.4.4 Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
