Vulnerability Insight: Multiple flaws exist due to: - A memory initialization issue with improper memory handling. - A validation issue in the handling of symlinks. - A validation issue was addressed with improved input sanitization. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities will allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code with system privileges and load unsigned kernel extensions. Affected Software/OS: Apple Mac OS X versions 10.13.x through 10.13.6 prior to Security Update 2019-003 High Sierra, and 10.14.x through 10.14.4. Solution: Apply Security Update 2019-003 High Sierra for 10.13.x and upgrade to 10.14.5 or later for 10.14.x. Please see the references for more information.
