Vulnerability Insight: The flaw is due to a boundary error when processing http POST requests and can be exploited to cause a heap based buffer overflow via a specially crafted packet. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation will allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application. Failed attacks will cause denial of service (DoS) conditions. Affected Software/OS: httpdx version 1.5.4 and probably prior. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
