Titel: | Mini Web Server Cross Site Scripting and Directory Traversal Vulnerabilities |
Zusammenfassung: | Mini Web Server is prone to a directory traversal vulnerability and a; cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input. |
Beschreibung: | Summary: Mini Web Server is prone to a directory traversal vulnerability and a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input. Vulnerability Impact: Exploiting these issues will allow an attacker to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site, and to view arbitrary local files and directories within the context of the webserver. This may let the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and other harvested information may aid in launching further attacks. Affected Software/OS: Mini Web Server 1.0 is vulnerable, other versions may also be affected. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one. CVSS Score: 2.6 CVSS Vector: AV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
