Beschreibung: | Summary: Omni-NFS is prone to multiple stack-based buffer-overflow vulnerabilities because the application fails to properly bounds-check user-supplied network data before copying it into an insufficiently sized memory buffer. The issues affect both server and client. Vulnerability Impact: Exploiting these issues allows attackers to execute arbitrary machine code in the context of users running the affected application. Failed attempts will likely crash the application, resulting in denial-of-service conditions. Affected Software/OS: Omni-NFS 5.2 is vulnerable. Other versions may also be affected. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
