Vulnerability Insight: The flaw is due to an improper validation of web request passed via an overly long string to 'Login' page. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation may allow remote attackers to cause the application to crash, creating a denial-of-service condition. Affected Software/OS: Dup Scout Enterprise version 9.1.14 and prior. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
