Vulnerability Insight: The flaw is due to a null pointer dereference error in WMDrive.sys, when processing a crafted '0x87342000 IOCTL' in the WMDriver device. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation will allow attacker to cause the application to crash. Affected Software/OS: WinMount version 3.5.1018 and prior. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
